This is a recent picture of my 3 Chihuahuas! Louie, Heidi & Joey! They share our home with a 17 year old cream mitted ragdall cat named Buddy! They range in age from 18 months to 2 1/2 years. They bring so much joy to us and play together all day and flop at night and for a few naps during the day……I urge everyone to go to a shelter or rescue to adopt an animal and give it a loving forever home. Animals add so much to our lives especially if you live alone, are retired or have an "empty nest". Every child deserves to learn how to care for a pet, too.

Hello,
My little girls name is Foxie, she looked like a little red fox to me. She is a 4 year old that I was lucky enough to rescue from our shelter. I learned that she had been running the streets for several months, starving and dirty. A couple who had been watching her for many weeks finally got her cornered and took her to the shelter.
The vet said he thought she was about 9 months old at the time. I had gone to the shelter because I had lost my little Yorky Lunar that had been with me for 16 years. The minute I saw this little girl, it was love at first sight. I put in my application, as did several others, and I went to visit her every day. I even took my yellow lab to meet her and they took to each other immediately. I was about to leave that day when the people who ran the shelter sort of changed the rules of adoption and some how my name was pulled out of the hat as the winner:-) They knew how much she would mean to me, thank God.
Bless her little heart, she does have some eye problems and is slowly going blind. My Vet said there is nothing we can do, but she is handling it very well. Benny, the Lab, watches out for her and seems to be protecting her. It's so sweet the way he seems to clear her path and walk to the food and water with her. He even lets her sleep tucked up to his tummy.
I never knew Chihuahua's were so wonderful and loving…I feel blessed to have Foxie.
Thank you for your site and information, JK

Blitz was named by my husband in honor of the Seattle Seahawks' mascot.
He was born 3/22/09.
He has such a fun personality and is quite sure he's 300 pounds rather than 3#4oz.
I never pictured myself owning a little (what I used to call) drop-kick dog, but here we are and I am IN LOVE! He's captured the hearts of everyone who has met him. My husband actually initiated his induction into our family, much to the consternation of our cat and two older (and larger) dogs.
Chihuahuas are new territory for us, so I would like to ensure I'm doing the right things so we'll have him happy and healthy for a long long time.
We have some adorable photos on our website, too, if you click on "info" at the top right, then click on "what's new" and scroll down to June 15. Since my husband is a professional photographer, his photos are a bit better than what I'm including from my phone camera.

LiLy (Little Lynch) and the brown one is Benni (BenBen). They are two peas in a pod that wrestle with each other all day and box like Kangaroos!! They also keep my Jack Russell "Tigger" on his toes. He is 16 years old but acts like a puppy around the Chi's. Hope you enjoy the pictures!!

My puppy is Gracie!
She is 15 weeks old tomorrow!
I love her because she is the best dog ever. She is such a sweet girl and listens most of the time. We have been working so hard on potty training and we have finally gotten it. YEAH! She can be stubborn, but we can work through that.

Hi Sandra,
Here is a picture of my dog. I look at other chihuahua dog, and he makes me think he may be a mixed breed dog. What do you think? It is because the pics I see are dogs that are so much smaller. Let me know what you think.
Thank you
Joanne

This is Papi. He is 8 months old and weighs 2.2 lbs. He is the sweetest thing on this earth. I am disabled with Multiple Sclerosis, he is my constant companion. I had a lot of trouble trying to sleep at night due to various reasons, but since I have had Papi I sleep very well with my little guy next to my heart. He has helped me feel better and is my little soldier in helping me fight this disease. So, let no one question the power of a Chi for they are mighty.

Hi Sandra,
Here is my life and soul - Pablo! He is 5 months old now and a total human magnet, I can't finish a walk without being stopped at least twenty times on the way!
The best thing about Pablo and why I adore him the most, apart from his astounding intelligence and quickness to learn, is his character! He makes me laugh ALL the time! He is a cheeky, feisty little man and I can't imagine going back to a life without him! He is special because his mum was a long-coated chihuahua, his dad was a short-coat - so I get the best of both breeds in one little package! X
Best regards
Nadine

Hello Sandra
Not sure if this picture of my two girls will work. Not very experienced in sending photos.
The chocolate colored one is Dixieann and the tan one is Christybell. If you cant' open the pictures I will ask my granddaughter to help me do it right the next time.
My boss at work gave me Dixie when she was only 8 weeks old she is now two and a half.
Then again in December of 07' my boss gave me Christy she was also 8 weeks old and she
is now one and a half years old.
I would have never dreamed that these two could bring me such joy. I just love them.
Since Dixie was raised alone for a year or so she and Christy are very different in temperment. They are both smart but have a little problem with training and that is because of me and starting late in their training but I keep it up.
Christy is more aggressive. Dixie just loves to play all the time. They did not come from the same parents but they are sisters in my eyes.
They have both been spayed and so Iam concerned about their diet so as to keep them at a good weight.
I look forward to getting any information that will help me take good care of my two girls.
With respect
Delilah
