Now You Can Have a Teacup Puppy Poop Free Home

My friend was telling me a funny story yesterday. She had just arrived home with the teacup puppy she carefully chose after days of agonizing over which cute puppy to take home. As she flopped down their divan, she noticed that her new teacup puppy is walking around in circles and sniffing her fluffy, white carpet. She said to herself, “Oh, cute! He is trying to feel at home already!” Well, you probably know how the story ended. My friend realized where all this was leading to, immediately got her butt of the chair and took her teacup puppy to the loo as he was about to dump his waste on her immaculately clean carpet.

Potty training a teacup puppy is not different from potty training other breed of dogs (or cats for that matter). Except for their size and the fragile nature of their bones, teacup puppies are the same as their larger, regular sized cousins when it comes to learning where to dump their poop. We just need to exercise lots of patience as we spend time training our teacup puppy.

So, since my friend had to learn her lesson in quite a rude way, she called me up to ask how she could teach her cute teacup puppy that her white carpet was NOT the proper place to dump his waste and nor was her piano the right spot to urinate. Watching out for the signs that your teacup puppy wishes to urinate or take a dump is one of the first things you should observe when you first take him home. Training them is a task that each owner should take care of immediately. If not, I would suggest you remove all your clean carpets and resign yourself to a home that has gone to the dogs.

Secrets Revealed - Potty Training for Teacup Puppies

Teacup puppies are one of the more lovable things in the world. But when your dog starts sniffing and walking around the floor, you have to start worrying. The mutt has to go. And unless you want its wastes all over your carpet, we suggest you start potty training. There’s no forgiving owners who get headaches due to dog shit when they didn’t even try to potty train their teacup puppies. And to think the teacup puppies has just a few grams of waste a day because of their size.

First, if you want to train your pet to do its thing outside, you have to use the word “Outside” and get them excited about it. Say it in an excited tone. You may also want to train your puppy to use one specific area on a consistent basis and keep the clean up area to a minimum. Better yet, use a reward system. Bring your dog outdoor to one specific area to do its business and then treat him with a reward afterwards. Do not give him his treat whenever he fails to follow this routine. This usually works for both young and old dogs.

If you decide to do potty training indoors, it is important to stick to one method. This would allow your dog to familiarize themselves with only one specific method. A Teacup Puppy only knows what you teach it if you teach it consistency. So pick a method and stick with it. Confusing the teacup puppy won’t help the whole potty training.

For instance, once you pick a spot for your potty training, cover that area with paper. That way, the puppy will get used to doing his business in paper. Start by covering large areas with paper and then reduce the area as you puppy gets used to the idea and until you can designate a very specific spot. This paper method also makes it easier to clean up afterwards.

But most importantly, do not underestimate your Teacup pets’ intelligence. With proper routine, they can make the connection that going outside would win him his reward. Generally, would only take a few days before they realize what they have to do. Or what you want them to do.

Dangers Teacup Puppies Face

Everything seems to be getting smaller by the day. Not so long ago, people needed an entire room to set-up a computer. CPU’s then were the size of closets. Today you might not even need a chair. And our fondness for diminutive objects has taken the dimensions of fetish. Whether it is our utter fascination with micro utilities or our engrossed stipulation for space, the smaller, the better. Even pets have to be petite. Gone are the days when mongrels, German shepherds, and bulldogs commanded market prices, status symbol and friendly doting. If at all, they make for good security measures. Teacup Chihuahuas are fast becoming the mainstays of America households. And its very name suggests that they are not bred to scare robbers away.

Lovable pets, size notwithstanding, are they different from any other dogs? Not necessarily. Teacup Chihuahuas bring with them diverse health related problems, as well. These Teacup Chihuahuas need extra care and special attention especially as teacup puppies and should always be checked out by a licensed veterinarian for thyroid and liver problems. Some problems that small dogs get relate to blood sugar levels, lack of moisture in the body and common respiratory problems.

Besides that, injury gets to teacup pets more seriously than other dogs. Imagine a teacup puppy silently sleeping on the sofa when a 200 lb woman accidentally sits on her. Though resilient, extra care is needed to keep from breaking small bones of these tiny creatures. Being small will most likely be a quality accessible to their small masters like small children who would not differentiate a teacup pet from a teacup that the child usually breaks every now and then. Since dogs often lick the ground, sometimes ingesting fertilizers, cleaning agents, and other harmful chemicals in their system. And this can be especially dangerous for teacup Chihuahuas. They also take the word “cool” to disquieting proportions. You might want to consider buying them sweaters; the weather also significantly affects Teacup Chihuahuas more than other breeds. So, if you do plan to accessorize them, think “sweater”.

The Truth About Teacup Puppies

Toy breeds are really adorable to look at and fun to be with. These dogs are not only pet quality, they are also picture perfect when they are in their best moods. Because of this, more and more people are breeding small breed puppies and oftentimes, the smaller ones are the most expensive.

When the term teacup was first used, it was pertaining to a puppy so small it could actually fit a teacup. The puppy was from normal sized parents that do not fit in teacups and the siblings from the litter are just the same size as their parents. So, how come this single puppy grew to be so small it was the envy of many?

The answer is simple – the teacup puppy is the malnourished one that requires more attention, has a shorter lifespan, and more susceptible to diseases. Yes, the teacup Chihuahua you just bought is not really the best among the litter – it was the worst.

Veterinarians have been pleading to breeders to stop breeding teacup puppies because, according to them, teacup ones have the most flaws in temperament, health and standards. However, because teacup puppies are the trend nowadays, the pleads fall on deaf ears.

So, if you are thinking of getting a teacup puppy because of how cute and small it is, you better think again. You are giving these teacup breeders money for breeding an abnormal puppy that will not live long enough anyway. A waste of money and definitely a waste of good pedigree in the process.

Looking for so called teacup chihuahua in gilbert , az area?

Friday, December 19th, 2008

I'm looking for a teacup chihuahua dog for my girlfriends birthday in the girlbert, az area for cheapp ?

There is no such thing as a Teacup anything. So-Called Teacups are "Runts"(Smallest puppy in the litter)! Teacup is a term that irresponsible Backyard Breeders use, who don't care anything about the welfare of their dogs, when they breed one Runt to another Runt, in order to achieve smaller puppies. They charge outrageous prices for profit and rip people off! When you see someone advertising Teacups, run as fast as you can in the other direction. Most of these puppies, have major health problem and don't have very long lives. The people breeding these poor Runts, don't care if they die, while they are whelping (delivering) their puppies or not. They just move on to the next Runt and the process keeps repeating itself. I used to breed Chihuahuas and I do have Runts that are from normal litters. When I was breeding, I never even once, considered or would be willing to risk my Runts lives for the purpose of getting smaller puppies. Please go to your local Shelter or Chihuahua Rescue. I'm sure you will find the perfect puppy for your girlfriend and a great little companion. Before you buy your girlfriend a dog for her Birthday, please talk to her first and make sure that she wants a dog and is ready to properly care for one. She may even want to pick out her own puppy from a Shelter or a Rescue. You would be saving a little life, and that is a great feeling! Remember no dog is ever cheap. Please make sure that your girlfriend will be able to afford proper veterinary care, high quality food, supplies, etc…
