When do chihuahua puppies start to bark?

My chihuahua/fox terrier puppy is 10 weeks old and hasn't start barking, when do they normally start barking?

hopefully never. barking is truely a useless and annoying quality. especially the excessive barkers. they bark for no reason. My dog only barks when he hes random noises which isn't very much and then when he gets into his play time, he gets excited and will do this cute "i'm gonna get u" bark or "come and get me" bark. Other than that, i stopped it before it started. I grew up with a dog that barked at everything, and i go to the dog park and hate it when a dog is just standing there barking at the other dogs and even once they walk away from the dog it still keeps barking, and the owner won't do crap about it. Thats what i hate. Let her learn her bark, but then once she does correct her when she barks at useless stuff. Remember your the owner your the protector, if your not scared there is no reason she should be barking. but give her another month or 2.

    maybe hes shy, take him out to dinner, a fine restaurant usually lightens the mood

    sometimes they havent adjusted to you yet .
    if you've had her for a while just wait a little, one day it'll bark and you'll WANT it to shut up .

    I had a puppy that would growl and make barking noises when she was only 3 days old, and i have had others that didn't bark until they were three years old…so it really depends on the dog.

    They can start barking as early a 3 weeks of age, if your mixed puppy doesn't bark be grateful for that because most dogs start barking and don't know when to quit. When your puppy has something to say then he/she wil speak until then just be patient.

    Maybe that is just the way he/she is and if this continues and you are still worried then make sure there is nothing wrong with her/him.(Go to the vet)

    Enjoy the quiet…lol. My Pom-Chi mix (yes I said mix….she is not a designer dog just one that needed a loving home thank you) barks if she sees a shadow move across the yard or the wind blowing the leaves. She has been like that since she was 4 months old.

    That designer dog comment was not directed toward you. It was meant for the people who are slf important…Designer dogs are bad you should never get one. Well if that is the case than most of the crossbreeds in the world would ever get homes…..

    I do believe that the liddle widdle cutesy wutesy puppies start barking before they are born.

    Every single one that I have ever come across seemed to be well practiced in barking way before birth, because they do bark at everything that comes into range of their fine hearing and vision from the get go.

    I may be wrong! But this is what I think! And besides which, I think that the mama chihuahua drops them before their regular birth time because of all the barking going on in her womb.

    I know. You are thinking 'What mother would do that?'

    Have you ever had a family of these mighty fine dogs living next door to you?

    Then you may have a clue as to why some of the chihuahuas are so tiny, even at full growth.

    Because of an earlier than usual birth time.

    I do wonder, though? Why am I not allowed to even approach the campus for vets, much less attend the classes given? Do you think it is because I already have such a wide knowledge of animals, and no one else would have a chance to graduate as valedictorian, if I attended?

    I am not sure, but you know these schools, these days. Super smart people like me never get a chance to help other peoples companions.

    Oh well. I am not sad. Really, I am just glad that I could help!

    Oh, and Kim? Maybe we should get together and have a nice evening at a restaurant with the dogs of our choice? Though I really don't like hot dogs that much. Unless they are corndogs. That is different. Don't you think? And don't listen to my wife whining. She'll get used to this. And I could get a doggy bag. Then she would be happy.

    UR or Tim, whatever you choose. Just remember this! If you try to punish my wife 'for sticking her nose where it doesn't belong,' I will be in the dog house for a week! And I really don't like it when I have to use the outdoors for my potty. If you know what I mean.

    anytime they do i have them at 6weeks who do and I have had them to a year old that never did till then…

    I have chihuahuas and when they do bark they never stop…
