HA HA HA

You've invented some interesting dogs here. Since "teacup" chihuahuas do not exist, I hope your search for a "paperanian" goes well.

Yep, they are rare and designer, but they exist. They are your usual demanding, sute, and yippy Chihuahuas, just more fragile and have grooming needs. Good idea on getting one off Petfinder! Try going to http://www.dogtime.com and look at all the different profiles of dogs, and soon enough you'll be an expert!
*EDIT*
Well, newsflash, guys. My neighbour has TEACUP Maltese. I guess they really DO EXIST?

I will tell you that the tiny tiny little ones are very prone to hypoglycemia, dehydration when sick, heart murmurs, luxated patellas and other medical and genetic conditions.

Just be very careful and thank you for adopting from petfinder! :)

There is no such thing as a "Teacup" dog. Teacup, is another word for poorly bred runt.

But, it is *Great* that you plan on adopting! Hopefully, you can find your perfect match! Best of Luck!

OMG…. movies like those help overstock shelters. And seriously you should be getting a dog. Theres no such thing as a paperanian OR teacup anything. Do more research and do the world a favor….Get a goldfish.

They do not exist. Papernarians might be good for you, is this some sort of origami? =P

LOL, you're the designer paperainian dog lady!! You REALLY need to do some more research!! There's no such thing as a teacup! If you knew how to use the search bar you would know that without all of us having to repeat ourselves for the millionth time!!! If you really care about dogs and pets in general, you will stop contributing to the poorly bred runts and designer MUTTS!!!

Teacup is another word for ill-bred runt that the idiot who bred it will charge you way too much for, I'm sorry. Although you did mention adopting in which case, you won't get charged as much initially, but in the long run you will be spending a lot more than you had though due to the poor health that these types of dogs have been bred into.

As if Chihuahua's weren't small enough as it is either. There is such a thing as long haired chihuahuas. Which I am sure you will be able to find on petfinder easily.

By paperanian do you mean Papillon (sp?) or Pomeranian?

Long haired Chihuahua, yes. There is no such thing as a teacup Chihuahua, just poorly bred runts with a lot of medical issues. The breed standard for a Chihuahua is between 4 and 6 lbs. Why get anything smaller?

Long haired chihuahuas are cuter than the hairless chihuahuas…Pomeranians are my favorite…You should definitely do lots of research before getting a dog. Its awesome that you're planning on adopting!
