She is not badly infested but I am wanting to treat both her and the puppies. They puppies are a week old and I don’t want them to suffer as well as the mother. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
For the mother, get him a regular Flea Bath from a professional groomer. ask that groomer if they carry a special shampoo called (something along the lines of) Euca-Luca Lime.If not, hunt it down. It is for dogs with sensitive skin, but also works well on fleas. My aunt used it on her flea infested puppy. You could do it yourself, or have the professional do it, but make sure not to get it in their eyes! If the puppies eyes are open already, hunt down a bottle of a type of mineral oil that is put in dogs eyes by most groomers. It helps wash out soap from dogs eyes, and helps prevent it from getting in their eyes. Put 1 drop in each eye before starting the bath. Use a little Dawn dish soap if you get it on their coat, because it will make their skin greasy, and can be irritating.
