i don’t know if being a long haired chihuahua has anything to do with it but. my other 2 short hairs dont. hes been doing it for the past 6 or 7 months and we have no clue what to do with him. I don’t want to make him wear a diaper because of the rashes they get but its starting to really get on my last nerve..any advice? =]
I also have a 3 year old lab that does the same thing. What we have done with her, (she usually will pee all over if people come over that she’s not used to), we tell visitors to completely ignore her, then calmly bring her outside, let her due her business in the “normal” fashion.” We then let her go to the people in her own time, which is usually a few minutes. I think the trick is to make the situations that are “exciting” to seem as calm and normal as possible. This generally works. I hope this helps! Good luck with your puddler!

Well, it’s nearly impossible for dogs to pee when they are sitting down. So if your dog is excited, make him sit, and stay and hopefully he won’t pee! I’m sort of dog trainer. I have a dog too but she listens to me and she doesn’t pee on the floor when she’s excited or anything.
