My dog ,a long haired chihuahua makes a chirp or hiccup sound in his sleep sometimes-what is it?

or is it bad? Should I wake him?

It's just that a chirp or hiccup. What's wrong w/that??

It could be that he's dreaming and barking in his dream. My dog does that sometimes, makes quiet mini-barks while he's sleeping.

It just means he's dreaming, probably about barking, I'd leave him in peace.

Thats so cute i have a Chihuahua [short haired] named Tikkii!

I think he is just dreaming. My Dalmatian does that too along with twitching and "running" with her legs. She must have some really great dreams! I figure the same is happening with your baby. I never wake my Dolly up.

He's talking in his sleep. My dog does it to. Sometimes his legs get going like he's running in his sleep too.
