I have a teacup chihuahua and i really love him and i want him to live as long as possile. but really y are teacups unhealthy what do they get that is bad for them nd about how long do they live??? 
there is NO SUCH THING as a teacup anything! this is just a word breeders use to get more money out of you. they breed runt to runt to make these tiny little unhealthy pups.
my only advise to you is to save up your money and be prepared for whatever comes your way. ofcourse all the money in the world cant stop nature from taking its course…. the best you can do is get your pup the care he needs when he needs it!

Chihuahuas are the longest lived breed of all so you are wrong. It is the owners who make them unhealthy by feeding them human starchy foods with grains like wheat. Do not feed him any grain based foods or snacks and he’ll be fine. And do NOT let him get fat as this is also a small og problem. 1/3 cup of kibble a day at most.
Also mixed breeds are generally healhier because they have less genetic diseases. Also lots of backyard breeders breed to their relatives which weakens them genetically.

I'm not sure how long they usually live. I have heard of some living into their teens, but don't think this is common. It of course largely depends on their pedigree and how well you care for them.
I think the biggest reason that teacups might not live as long is that it is not a natural breed (like so many others). Some dogs are bred too closely for specific traits and unfortunately with the desirable genes come some bad ones.

It is because they are Runts. Only bad, irresponsible and heartless people breed Runts. Here's what the Backyard Breeders do:
They have a litter, they take the Runt from the litter.
They have another litter, they take the Runt from that litter.
They breed those two Runts together, in order to create smaller dogs.
They take the two smallest dogs from that litter, and inbreed them, causing extremely tiny, extremely unhealthy inbred puppies.
They then sell them for ridiculous prices, calling them a 'special', 'Teacup' dog.
Unfortunately, they don't live long. Less than 2 years is usual, sometimes Runts 'Teacups' don't even make it to that age.

You can't really do anything to help your dog and it's health. The best thing you can do is to have a lot of money saved up, as you are going to need it for vet bills in the future.
People really need to read up about the type of dog they get before they get it….

The breeders dont do the proper health testing, and the puppies are abnormally fragile, they can develope many Genetic problems due to this HORRIBLE breeding, and can have Heart, Liver, Lung problems due to trying to litteraly “Miniatureize” and already puny breed.
