Tiny dogs, especially miniature teacup chihuahua dogs, face some health challenges. Because of the small size of your pet, cold weather is especially dangerous. Feeding is a challenge too. Tiny dogs often eat too much and get overweight

AWW! Congrats on your new baby. This is a good mix altho I don't advocate mixing different breeds.Caring for this pup is like caring for any puppy. It is best to free feed a small puppy for the first few months. Feed a good quality food. We feed our chihuahuas Nutro Ultra Puppy. Get its vaccinations on time. I would take it to the vet and have it checked to be sure it is okay. Enjoy the baby. Give it lots of love. With the min pin mixed in, it may be a hyper puppy, but they are great dogs, both breeds.

Awww! I love that mix!

Rule #1: Do not let the puppy jump from your lap to the ground. Many small puppies of both these breeds get head trauma from things like that. They are very fragile and they don't know it.

Rule #2: Both the Chihuahua and the Min Pin are known to not like strangers and even bite people they don't know. To prevent this, take your puppy out a lot. Let people pet him/her and have people come to your house/apartment a lot. This will let your dog know that strangers are not bad and he/she will have a better chance of being a friendly dog to anyone. (Another trait they share is they are known to bark a lot)

Rule #3: Teeth. Go to the pet store and buy dog brand toothpaste (human brand is poisonous for them). Keep your dog's teeth clean and it will save you a lot of money when it gets older and the gums are wearing down (my dach/terrier mix had 4 teeth before he died (at 24 years old) and his gums were black). This is also good for their breath, since small dogs get very bad breath. Your dog's kiss won't feel like torture then!

I'm sure the rest you can figure out or already know. Good luck with your new addition!

Be gentle with him. He is very small and fragile. Start him on a feeding schedule right away. Let him out every 2-3 hours. No food or water after dinner. If he seems to be thirsty, give him an ice cube or two. Give him lost of love! ?
